2025 was an absolute menace and a half.
1. Most Used Lip Products
ROM&ND’s “Bare Grape” Juicy Lasting Tint was the only thing I would use for the longest time. Along came Inde Wild’s “Masala Chai” Dewy Lip Treatment and it became a matter of who could pry that tube out of my fists. I wasn’t able to stop using it. Sheesh. In 3rd place we have ROM&ND’s “Bare Marron” Juicy Lasting Tint. Not much variation this year. I knew what I liked and stuck by them like glue.
2. Most Used Blushes
Ah, my favourite category. I couldn’t stop using “Blueberry Chip” from ROM&ND, second year in a row. I’ve hit pan and it hurts my soul. I’ve been trying to make do with ROM&ND’s Juicy Roll Cheek in “Bare Grape” along with Essence’s Tint in “Kiss from a rose” and they’re both good products. They’re just no “Blueberry Chip”.
3. Most Used Skincare
I used SKIN1004’s Cleansing Oil throughout the year and only switched a couple of times to other cleansing oils, mostly out of boredom. This Cleansing Oil does what it’s supposed to. The Ordinary’s Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum was also something that made my skin look so good that I ran through three bottles of it this year. SKIN1004’s Centella Ampoule has quickly become a staple in my winter routine. It’s soothing, hydrating and something I turn to whenever I feel like my skin is acting out.
4. Most Used Hair Products
When mis en scene launched in the country, I immediately bought the shampoo and serum. Having used them in the past, I knew I’d get good use out of them. Inde Wild’s Champi Hair Oil was also something I found myself enjoying. I’d leave it on for an hour before I shampooed and rinsed it out. Smells nostalgic, too.
5. Most Used Shower and Body Care Products
I loved the soaps from FabIndia and used them the entirety of the year. Aquaphor, of course, is a non-negotiable in my life. Milk Baobab’s body lotion, albeit a recent-ish addition, made me look forward to actually putting something on after my daily showers.
6. Most Worn Scents
“Delina” had me in a chokehold for most of the year. It’s just such a gorgeous scent that, again, I had to force myself to use other scents. “Black Saffron” became my travel scent so I have a lot of cute memories that I associate with that fragrance. “Princess” is my purse perfume and it’s something I spray on to get rid of the scent of cigarettes or just to lift myself up when I’m out and about.
My taste in fragrances got more and more high end this year and it really pissed my wallet off. I’ll try to reel it in next year.
7. Most Used Honourable Mentions
Hince’s Radiance Balm is such a gorgeous product that I assure you a separate review is coming soon. It’s everything I want a highlighter to be. AOU’s Glowy Tint Balm is my go-to when I want something other my usual rotation of “Masala Chai” and “Bare Grape” on my lips. NISHANE’s “Wulong Cha” gets an honourable mention because it was my summer scent. It made the sweltering days seem more bearable.
8. Most Eaten Snacks lol
When I saw that Nissin was making instant ramen with stickers from Pokémon Horizons inside, I instantly reverted to my 7-year-old self. I bought and ate an obnoxious amount of noodles just to get my hands on the 20+ stickers. I’ve managed to collect 11 unique ones and I’m happy with that. No more noodles, yeah, Midori? The salted pretzels from Atom Eats hit different with baked brie. And Lotte’s Pepero is something I enjoy snacking on whenever I’m having a crisis. Which is often.
9. Most Eaten Chocolates wtf lol
I’m embarrassed to acknowledge the amount of Munch Nuts Max I must’ve consumed this year. It’s just that good. Raffaellos were also something I bought whenever I saw they were on sale. The Lindor Pistachio, while I bought because I liked the packaging, was also delectable.
10. Most Loved Games
I played a lot of Legends ZA after the game came out. I’m going through the DLC as I type this. I also, of course, played TCGP throughout the year. I recently pulled my chase card – the Full Art Sabrina from Genetic Apex – and am now debating whether or not I should go all-in on the new Full Art Serena card. I also really enjoyed A Little to the Left and finished the game earlier this year.
Well, that’s it for this year.
