I bring to you these ROM&ND glosses today.
THE BACKSTORY: ROM&ND is a very popular K-beauty brand and anytime they release anything, people go berserk. The variety of finishes, colours, and undertones they provide to their fanbase is second to none. This is their second gloss formula, their first gloss formula being sheerer and more translucent. I have one of those as well, I’ll do a Quickie on it.
THE PRODUCTS: Their packaging is rather simple. Colour-coded plastic units that correspond to the shades they house inside. The applicator is also your generic doe-foot shape, picks up the product well and has enough of it for you to coat your lips without double-dipping.
I really enjoy the plush consistency of this gloss. It fills in lip-lines and coats the lips in one swipe. It provides instant volume to the lips and gives you the appearance of a fuller pout.
The main selling point of this lip gloss formula is that it gives you “angel-ring gloss”, which I’m guessing is their way of saying the shine looks like a halo (?). Anyway, they’d be right about that. The glossy finish of this product is borderline mirror-like. It’s reflective and shiny, even more so in photos.
While a single coat is usually enough, I must also mention how one coat will give you the sheerest finish. It layers well and the opacity can be built as you tack on more layers.
As a perennial lip-smoosher, I really do enjoy the consistency of this gloss. It’s thick, plush and non-sticky.
The one con you must’ve gathered by now is its longevity. With the kind of glossy finish it imparts, the longevity being hopeless was inevitable. Does it survive drinks? No. Meals? Haha, cute. A sneeze? Oh, bless you, no. I’m only partly kidding. The longevity is horrible. But it is rather easy to re-apply so there’s that, at least.

SWATCHES AND SHADES AVAILABLE: If there’s one thing ROM&ND will do is extend their shade range. As of now, there’s around 13 shades. However, only 6 are readily available and are generally thought to be the main ones.
