Review: The Face Shop Fresh Jeju Aloe 99% Soothing Gel.

After using 3 tubs of my beloved Nature Republic Aloe Vera Soothing gel, I decided to try out a different brand. Since The Face Shop is now easily available in my country, I chose to buy their version. Do I like it more than Nature Republic’s version? We’ll soon find out, on the 5th Day of Skincare Week!

Review: The Face Shop Fresh Jeju Aloe 99% Soothing Gel.

THE PRODUCT: It’s just like any other aloe vera gel – with its soothing properties, gel texture and fresh scent. It, honestly, is much stickier than any other aloe gels I’ve tried.

I typically use it as a treatment after I’ve been out in the sun too long or to generally sooth my distressed skin. I’m going to be honest, though – I don’t nearly like it as much as I like the Nature Republic Aloe Gel. I’ll probably just continue to use it until it’s finished and then proceed to repurchase the Nature Republic one.

Like any other aloe gel, you can utilise it for multiple purposes. It can act as a face primer, face mask… It can sooth your skin after shaving, after you’ve been out and about in the sun. You can apply it as your regular moisturiser if you have oily skin, you can use some to make some soothing eye masks. It’s just a versatile product; you can use it on almost any part of the body.

I think it’s a good idea to stock up on aloe vera gel for the upcoming summer months. Any brand will do but if I were to recommend one, I would ask you to go for the Nature Republic Aloe Gel.

PRICE: $5 for 300 ml of product.

AVAILABILITY: The Face Shop counters, Amazon (I would link it but it’s currently sold out), RoseRoseShop etc.
