I’d been eyeing this lip balm for ages and finally decided to get myself one back in February.
THE BACKSTORY: There’s not much to the backstory this time. I saw this lip balm being talked about by some of the influencers I trust/like so I thought getting influenced to get one was fine.

THE PRODUCT: First up, the packaging is fine. It doesn’t really speak to me as such because it’s not cute, pastel or anything I gravitate towards. It’s just a simple silver tube. I wish the typography was different but that’s me being nitpicky.
The thing that sets this particular lip balm apart from many of its counterparts is its metal-tip applicator. It dispenses product evenly and I adore how cooling it is when you apply the balm on your lips. It can get messy and I abhor product build-up on lip balm applicators so I clean it off with a tissue after I use it every single time.
The formula is very thick and plush. I like how plush it feels because those slippy and thin lip balm formulations just don’t tick any boxes in my head. It provides immediate hydration and despite its thickness, it is easy to spread the product over your lips smoothly and evenly.
It immediately smooths over any lip lines or dry patches you might have on your lips. It’s non-sticky and imparts a beautiful glossy finish.
This lip balm also claims it exfoliates, which I don’t have any notes on. I use my lip products interchangeably so I cannot verify whether the exfoliation it boasts of is a fact or not.
I also enjoy how it feels on the lips. It’s not weightless, you’re aware of it but it doesn’t bother me as such. It’s got decent longevity. Even after a lot of the sheen and colour wears off, the lips still feel hydrated.
The pigmentation on these are intense. I tend to stick to one layer because one swipe is opaque enough to coat my lips.
Now, onto the scent… Yikes. I bought this shade knowing the scent might be cloying and give me headaches. A lot of people can stomach intense scents but I’ve usually bolted out of the room by then. I have somehow adapted to the intense faux Gauva fragrance of this lip balm. I can apply it without getting a migraine or wanting to pass out. It’s a very strong scent so if it’s something you worry you won’t be able to handle, you’re probably right. Perhaps try one of the more tolerable scents or the unscented one.
SWATCHES AND SHADES AVAILABLE: There’s currently 6 shades along with 2 new Limited Edition ones for sale as of writing.
- Guava Fresca – a warm guava pink. Smells like fake guavas.
Gag. Sorry.
PRICE: $24 USD (approx. 2259 INR)
QUANTITY: 14 ml
AVAILABILITY: EADEM Official, Sephora etc.
♥ OVERALL: I’m already eyeing one of the Limited Edition shades because I enjoy the formula so much. Although, I’m definitely not going to buy it anytime soon. Not until I finish a couple of lip products. So we’ll see if I ultimately grab the LE shade.
