SoulTree Ayurvedic Lip Gloss in ‘Nude Pink’.

I’m back to finish off what I started – the whole SoulTree cosmetic range ordeal.

I truly am someone who enjoys glossy lip products. This particular Lip Gloss is quite nourishing, in terms of formulation, because of the presence of Sunflower Seed Oil, Coconut Oil, Castor Seed Oil, Cocoa Butter, Almond Oil, Vanilla Oil, Rose Oil and Beeswax. That’s a lot of oils for one Lip Gloss. Also, the presence of Beeswax (and Honey) makes this a non-vegan product. It is, however, still vegetarian.

Anyway, this isn’t a sticky Lip Gloss by any means. It’s smooth during application and also has smoothening properties. Smooth and smoothening. Hah.

I will say that it does have a gritty, sand paper-like texture while on the lips, though, which I’m not a fan of at all. Ugh. If you don’t smoosh your lips together all the time like I tend to, you will not have a problem with this formula. So I reckon a lot of you will not like this gloss at all. Hahaha.

What else can I say? Is it glossy? Well, yes. Makes the lips look super juicy. Longevity is the same as your usual glosses – bad. There’s no helping it. It’s a gloss, it’s not supposed to last very long. It’s just supposed to liven up your lips, make them appear plump and lush, feel comfortable and be easy to re-apply.

I like the simple packaging and the long, paddle applicator too. Applicators for glosses matter to me. I’ll delve into why in a future post.

There’s around 6 shades available, at the moment.

‘202 Nude Pink’ is a lot more cool-toned and frostier than I had imagined (and what the pictures on the site showed). It’s a cool-toned baby pink with mauve undertones and iridescent shimmer pearls running through it (must be the culprit behind the gritty texture I mentioned before). Thankfully, I have cool undertones and enjoy these kinds of light colours. I also think it’ll look delicious with a grey smokey eye.

It’s nothing to write home about, you know? Texture is awful, too, so… I don’t know. Don’t buy it, I guess?
