Finally talking about these Lip Tints today.

THE BACKSTORY: If you have ever come across any of the items from the “Water Drop” line of products Holika Holika has to offer, you’re sure to know how delightful they are. These aren’t any different.

THE PRODUCT: So, these Lip Tints come in colour-coded packaging. The bullet is shaped like a water droplet (which I find adorable) and the component is retractable.

These are basically watery Lip Tints in stick-type packaging.

The consistency and how these lip products go on is truly fascinating to me. They may come in solid stick-form but they turn into a cooling, popsicle-like consistency the moment they come in contact with your lips. It’s like an ice-cube that’s melting as you rub it across your lips. Science, man.

That being said, the colour pay-off is rather sheer and requires a few layers for it to be anywhere near opaque. The finish is dewy and comfortable albeit a little sticky. Nothing too bothersome, trust me. It’s also nowhere near as drying as Water Tints tend to be.

They also have a sweet taste to them. Not to mention a sweet-as-candy scent.

Like most other Water Tints, these also tend to settle into lip-lines and look weird over time. It also tends to fade from the edges of the lips while still retaining a somewhat strong hue on the middle of the lips. Familiar Water Tint territory, right?

The longevity is decent, as with most other Tints of this nature. Also, these do leave a stain behind. Whether you like a stain or not is completely up to you and your preferences.

I do think these make gorgeous, long-lasting cream blushes that leave behind a healthy glow to the cheeks. I will ask you to be mindful while swiping them across your cheeks, though. They tend to set fairly quickly, so quick motions and blending is absolutely optimal. They also look rather pretty as a one-and-done swipe of colour across the lids.

♥ OVERALL: I think these are super fun alternatives to those finicky Water Tints! I was honestly eyeing the darker, pinker colours but they are almost always out of stock, sadly.
