Review: Innisfree Green Tea Fresh Essence.

Innisfree Green Tea Fresh Essence

Today’s Day 4 of Skincare Week! We’re halfway there, everybody! Here’s another product from the ever-so-popular Green Tea line from Innisfree. I guess it’s no longer a secret just how much I adore this line.

*Skincare products are very subjective in nature. Everybody has different skin-types and different needs. Please keep in mind that what works for me may not work for you.

THE PRODUCT: This essence isn’t the same as first-treatment essences, in case you’re wondering. While it isn’t an FTE, it does perform in a similar manner, wherein it provides your skin with an extra layer of hydration. I haven’t started using FTE products yet. I decided to start with this essence and slowly work my way up there. This, the Fresh variant, is suitable for oily skin-types but I believe Innisfree has a Moisture variant as well, for those dealing with dry skin.

Like I mentioned before, this essence works in some serious hydration to your skin. For those with oily skin – does your skin feel dry even after you apply your usual moisturiser? Look at it this way – rather than putting on one thick layer of product, it’s better if you put on several light layers of product. That’ll ensure that each of the products provide optimal hydration and leave your skin feeling plump and moisturised.

Your skin will immediately drink this up – it gets absorbed within seconds and leaves the skin feeling soft and supple. It has a gel-like consistency and is very lightweight. You can easily layer other products over it. It introduces hydration back into your skin after cleansing and helps in retaining it.

I usually use this after I double-cleanse and use my Avene Thermal Spring Water. Then, I follow up with my emulsion.

The entire Green Tea line from Innisfree smells amazing. It’s a fresh and pleasant scent and it’s nothing too overwhelming.
