Hi, everyone. So, apparently coloured liner is going to be really big this Autumn/Winter. That’s what we keep hearing all year around anyway, isn’t that right? So, by now, if you haven’t invested in a coloured liner of your choice, this would be the perfect excuse to.

THE BACKSTORY: Previously, L’Oreal was always a hit-or-miss brand for me. But now, they always seem to deliver. Currently, the hit-or-miss brand seems to be Maybelline. I have always been a big fan of their products, but lately, I just can’t seem to get along. I had almost lost hope until these liners came along and whispered that there just might be a little hope left.

THE PRODUCT: These liners are of a dry consistency; meaning they won’t glide along your lids. They’re not as creamy as you’d hope and they do tug. However, the pigments in these are intense and they mean business. With the pigments being all-business, these bold colours actually show up on the lids and on the waterline. The liners also last for a decent amount of time. Sure, they won’t last for hours on end or if you rub your eyes a lot. But they somehow manage to look decent even after a few good hours of application. Since they’re retractable, there’s also not much fuss for its utility or packaging; it’s convenient and easy-to-use.

1. Shiny Beige: It’s a stunning, shimmery beige hue. It’s easily the most ‘everyday’ colour of the bunch. It looks amazing in the inner-eye corner, as a highlight as well as on the waterline. It’s just a bright colour to make the eyes look more awake.

2. Noble Purple: It’s a gorgeous shade of purple with cobalt shimmer running through. This is also another fairly usable shade, because of its darkness. This shade sits comfortably between being too loud or too subtle; it’s just the right colour.

3. Peacock Green: This is a gorgeous mint shade. Even if it looks intimidating, it’s actually looks very pretty when used. Especially on brown eyes, the green somehow emphasizes the eye colour more.

4. Ocean Blue: This shade of blue is more electric than oceanic. Blue liner is pretty big right now and this shade will help you to look flawless and be right on-trend.

Pros

  • Twist-up packaging.
  • Quite pigmented.
  • Lasts for a decent amount of time.

Cons

  • It's dry and so, it tugs on the lids.
  • Sometimes the pigment distribution isn't equal and it ends up looking patchy.
