Review: Skin Food Rice Mask Wash Off.

Skin Food Rice Mask

Hello, everybody. Did you know you must exfoliate your face at least once a week to keep it in ship shape condition? It’s to get rid of the dead and dry skin cells that are on your skin and to maintain soft, smooth skin.

THE BACKSTORY: Skin Food has some well-received and well-loved scrubs. While their Black Sugar scrub remains their bestselling one, this Rice mask is a close second, I believe.

THE PRODUCT: The grains in this scrub are small and soft and they aren’t too abrasive on your skin. They aren’t too soft where would fail to exfoliate your skin at all. A small amount easily brightens up your skin. What’s more, it leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth. This, as you can imagine, is a lot gentler than its sugar counterpart. I can say so because I have actually tried the Black Sugar scrub. The grains are smaller and finer and they do a good job at scrubbing off dead skin cells. It also has a slight floral scent to it, almost as if to mimic Jasmine rice.

The only thing that puts me off is the packaging. The jar packaging is just so inconvenient. It even ends up as a breeding ground for bacteria if you accidentally use your dirty fingers to scoop out the product. The only solution to this would be keeping a spatula aside specifically for this.

I quickly took a photo of how the grains look on the back of my hand – do you see how tiny they are?
