Review: Etude House Moistfull Aloe Soothing Lotion

Hi, guys. When I ran out of my beloved Laneige emulsion, I went haywire searching for a lightweight moisturiser that would do the same things the Laneige one did. I even posted about it; the few months I struggled with uneven skin and breakouts. When I finally found a product that is as amazing – if not better – and is affordable, I was overjoyed. The problem is, a few days ago, I got an email from Etude House saying it is being discontinued. Well, the image led me to believe that. Let’s pray it’s getting an upgrade or is getting repackaged.

THE BACKSTORY: Since Korean and Japanese products get repackaged every year or so, I still have some hope… I hope and pray with all my might that this product will forever be produced by Etude House. I’m halfway through it now… Let’s just hold hands and pray. I would buy the Laneige one but it is a little too expensive for a college student. This one, however, I have no qualms repurchasing. Weren’t we supposed to be praying?

THE PRODUCT: The texture of this emulsion/lotion is very milky and smooth. Your skin will drink it up instantaneously. It is lightweight and won’t feel greasy even if you use a little too much. It hydrates the skin well, often leaving a glowy finish to the skin right after application. It is quickly absorbed into the skin, so the dewiness doesn’t last long. It is soothing and calming to apply, especially in the warmer months.

It doesn’t come with a pump dispenser but it is still packaged in a way that makes it easy for you to dispense product onto your palm. The cute mint hued bottle is made of plastic.

It is ideal for the warmer months and for people with oily/combination skin. Even people with acne-prone or sensitive skin won’t find anything irritating about it. Drier skin types won’t like it at all – it’ll be too lightweight and milky for their skin type. However, in the summer, even dry skin types can give it a go.

Did I mention the fresh and light fragrance? That’s a bonus!
