Review: Tony Moly Shimmer Jeweling Eyes in ’01 Gold Jeweling’.

Tony Moly Shimmer Jeweling Eyes Gold Jeweling

Hello, everyone. Let’s start off this week with one of Hani, the underpaid assistant’s, personal favourites.

THE BACKSTORY: Hani – my best friend who occasionally helps out with some blog-related work and hence is called ‘The underpaid assistant’ – is actually the owner of this this eyeshadow quad and she immediately green-lit a post on it since she loves it. Well, she doesn’t own that many eyeshadows to really give you her take on it but I’ve worked with it enough to give you mine.

THE PRODUCT: The consistency of this eyeshadow is more of like a cream-powder hybrid as opposed to a proper pressed powder eyeshadow. It is creamy, buttery-smooth and easy to work with and blend. The opacity isn’t that breath-taking to be honest but it is build-able. It does remind me of Japanese eyeshadow quads/palettes – I find the texture and overall look quite similar. It lasts fairly well without an eye primer (trust me on that – Hani and I aren’t the type to constantly use eye-primers) and with a base, it has a tendency to last longer since it grabs onto the lids better.

I really, really like the way it is packaged – it is sleek, sturdy, has a mirror and is perfect to travel with. It comes with a dual-sided sponge-tip applicator. I personally love sponge-tip applicators but the product is easily applied with fingers and makeup brushes too.

This was Hani’s first eyeshadow quad and she loves how smooth it is and how easy it is to achieve a pretty look with since the colours are gorgeous. She loves the shimmers in it too.
