I go through Cleansing Oils fairly quick and they’re something I truly look forward to, at the end of the day. Doing my cleansing routine gives me peace of mind like no other.

THE BACKSTORY: I like Innisfree’s Cleansing Oils. A lot. They’re easily available to me, which is the reason why I gravitate towards them the way I do. I usually buy the Green Tea Cleansing Oil from them and this time around, I decided to switch it up with the Apple Seed one. So adventurous.

THE PRODUCT: The packaging is quite standard – comes in a plastic bottle with a pump.

The first thing you’ll notice with this Cleansing Oil is the pleasant scent it contains. It smells like fresh apple slices. Delicious, right?

The second thing you might notice is the consistency. It’s much lighter than most other Cleansing Oils. It emulsifies easily and rinses off with ease, without leaving any residue or tackiness behind. That’s something I’ve been truly enjoying whenever I use this Cleansing Oil – it’s just easy for me to use. It takes makeup and sunscreen off, easy-peasy.

After my last outing with the Klairs Gentle Black Cleansing Oil, this was a welcome change for me. I tried so hard to like that product but it just didn’t sit well with me.

What else is special about this product?

It’s just a good Cleansing product. Not much else to it, honestly. It removes impurities and makeup easily, smells great, doesn’t dry out the skin and is just an effective and well-rounded Cleanser.

Can I go to bed now?

Added water to emulsify. Added another pump to remove the stubborn mascara. Just goes to show having a separate Eye Makeup Remover doesn’t hurt. Literally.

All clean!

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:Smoothly and evenly apply oil onto facial skin that has not been dampened yet. Add water (it’ll emulsify) as you massage with your fingertips to remove makeup. Rinse with water. Follow up with another cleanser, of the foaming or gel variety, to thoroughly clean the skin and thus going for the ever-popular Double Cleanse method.

Effectiveness

Pros

  • It is really effective at removing makeup, be it waterproof or long lasting.
  • People with oily or combination skin needn't be afraid to use this. Follow through with another cleanser and you're good to go.
  • It doesn't leave the skin feeling tight and dry. Nor does it leave any residue behind.
  • It smells nice.
  • The fragrance, though strong, isn't overwhelming (surprisingly).

Cons

  • The fragrance might be too strong for some.
  • It's difficult to travel with the whole bottle. But that's the case with most Cleansing Oils anyway.
